Instead of giving you a coke and quenching your thirst for 1hr I would rather teach you to drink from the cup of success and you will never be thirsty again.

 :D Word.

Importantly though, the "sledgee" was a young starter-outer. A quiet word in his ear would have been more appropriate than abuse if we want to encourage his continued participation.

Also, it was a classic "he who is without sin cast the first stone" situation as the "sledger" is apparently notorious for avoiding any time on the front himself.

Apparently the commisaire spoke to him & explained the etiquette & also spoke to the rider who abused him. This probably isn't the thread to discuss this but I wonder if the commisaire suggested the donation or if it was his own idea?

Apparently the winner of E grade at KI on Saturday donated his prizemoney to this worthy cause, a very commendable thing to do.

Unfortunately the mail is that he did so after copping a spray (from a "senior" rider) for sitting on the back. I don't disagree with the sentiment but it sounds like it was handled pretty badly. Wouldn't be surprised if that young fellow doesn't come back.

The single biggest problem with the merger is having to sign on as a member of KOCCHD  ;)

I've heard a whisper of The Chris Edden Phenomenon extending to a near miss with a semi today. Is riding with this man dangerous to your health? Another A grader who was with him might care to comment.

The Commissar would need somebody who seems to know what's going on. You know....has all the mail. He could advise the Commissar on who needs to be punished for their pre & post race transgressions. It'd help if his identity was secret so retribution for a fine or suspension couldn't be directed at him. Surely somebody fits the bill?
